Seeking the Light

In honor of the passing of the solstice and in an effort to be that kind of no-pants dancing family, we took an impromptu field trip to Millis Wonderland to see the holiday lights display, by way of Anna’s Taqueria (which is 180-degrees in the wrong direction). The plan was we’d have a burrito picnic while we waited in the line of traffic.
Not only did we have a picnic, we sang songs, played alphabet games, whined, peed outside the car, laughed, and, fine, watched a few iPad videos. Because, yes, the wait was two hours.
But it was worth it. You know that look of wondrous joy kids can get? We had that. All four of us.
It was awesome.

May you all find your lights, too.
